I recently (aka last night) started a new plot for a manga... it actually became quite complicated.

Here's my outline, in case anyone cares:

12 Forces:

3 Bound
Water: Takahiro, m. Light green hair, blue-green eyes. Wise, calm, all-around good guy. Powers: current manipulation, rain, snow.
Light: Akira, m. White hair, light blue eyes, white wings. Kind, quiet, but goes off when mad, protective. Powers: rays of light, flight. Suzume's brother.
Earth: Hana, f. Orange hair, brown eyes. Wise, like a sister to everyone. Powers: making things grow. Aimi's sister.
3 Free
Free will: Nanami, f. Black/red hair, black eyes. Exciting, adventurous, strong, passionate. Powers: fate cannot reach her, unknowable mind.
Love: Aimi, f. Brown hair, brown eyes, pink wings. Sweet, exciting, always happy.  Powers: inspiring love in humans, flight. Hana's sister, Daichi's wife.
Memory: Daichi, m. Brown hair, blue eyes, green wings. Introspective, smart, funny. Powers: perfect memory, reaching collective unconscious, flight. Aimi's husband.

Fire: Suzume, f. Red hair, black eyes. Weak emotionally, sneaky, wishes to use fire for good. Powers: starting fires, making them bigger. Akira's sister, Masaru's mistress.

Fate: Masaru, m. Black hair, red eyes. Cocky, possessive, liar, pure evil. Powers: knowing future, creating fate. Suzume's lover.
Chaos:  Riku, m. Brown/blond hair, quicksilver eyes. Charming, brilliant, cruel, regal, patient. Powers: breaking things, mind manipulation, illness. Chinatsu's brother.
Truth: Megumi, f. Grey hair, violet eyes. Keeps to shadows, motives unknown, neutral, unselfish, wise. Powers: knowing the truth through eyes.

Healing: Hotaru, m. Brown hair, brown eyes, gold/brown wings. Protective, rash, strong. Powers: can heal almost anything, regeneration, flight. Chinatsu's lover.
3 Obstacles:
Animosity: Katsuo, m. Light brown hair, blue eyes. Childish, petty, cruel, brilliant. Powers: inspiring hate in humans.
Pain: Yuki, f. White hair, green eyes, black wings. Cold, cruel, straightforward. Powers: inspiring fear, flight. Rin's twin.
Fear: Rin, f. Black hair, green eyes, white wings. Cold, cruel, straightforward, smarter. Powers: causing pain, flight. Yuki's twin.

History and/or Science Lesson!
The Forces were there before the gods, but the Pillars were given to man by the gods.
Notes on mortality:
Gods can die, but they never get old or sick.
Pillars never get old, but they can get sick or vanquished- huzzah!
When a God or a Pillar dies, their powers pass to the next-born Japanese baby.
The first god of chaos gave Pandora, a mortal queen, a box containing the spirits of the three Obstacles. When she opened the box, her three sons got these spirits and became the Pillars of animosity, pain, and fear. So the first god of light created the three Gifts and gave them to Pandora's three daughters.

Notes on the distinction between good and evil:
You need a mix of creative and destructive forces to make the world work.
Creative and destructive forces can be used for either good or evil. No force is inherently good or evil.

Plotline
1) The forces of creation and destruction should all work together, or at least balance out. But all of a sudden, the god of chaos and the Pillar of animosity have become rivals. They each want complete control over humans.
2) The good guys are caught between two overlords!
3) This is where the main character comes in, ZOMG
         Kimiko, f. Blond hair, green eyes. Kind, selfless human. Pandora was, surprisingly, one of her ancestors. She doesn't know it, but this gives her special powers. She is able to resist any free Force's influence, and the pull of any Pillar. This makes her very powerful.
4) The Pillar of animosity decides to make her one of his minions; he thinks she is cute. Unfortunately for him, she proves immune to his workings. This makes him angry, and he is determined to figure out why. He imprisons her in his dungeon.
5) Akira finds her in the dungeon, and helps her out. He too is intrigued by her powers, when she tells him why she was in the dungeon. He fights Katsuo, rescues her, and brings her back to the good guys (Takahiro, Hana, Akira, Chinatsu, Daichi), who are trying to amass against the two opposing armies that are forming (the gods of destruction against the Obstacles).
6) Several epic battles ensue.
7) In a third battle, Kimiko is captured by Riku. He impresses her with his suave manner and she is almost tricked into thinking he is nice, because he is against Katsuo. She falls willingly under his spell, and he is about to deflower her =O when the good guys come in and save her! Chinatsu is tragically wounded but he makes it.
8) Akira becomes angry and gives her a talking-to about strangers.
9) They make camp for the night. Itsuki and Nanami show up. Kimiko learns about Pandora, and learns who these people are.
10) Katsuo decides to find her again, and dispatches evil henchman to help. He has found out her true identity and wants her for a 'secret weapon.'
11) In the woods, Kimiko is accosted by some of Katsuo's men. She calls out for help, but before the good guys can reach her, Riku shows up, his normal charming self. He saves her and then leaves. Once the good guys show up, Riku is gone from sight. Kimiko tells Itsuki, who takes precedence in this scene, that she was attacked, but the attackers left at the sound of the good guys coming.
12) The good guys start on their journey to Takayama, a castle in the mountains where they will pick up Daichi's wife Aimi. However, halfway there Itsuki is told by a little bird (literally) that some of Katsuo's people are holed up in the mountains, waiting. Not wanting to draw attention to themselves, the good guys go into a cave to wait for dawn, when they will be able to travel and fight better.
13) During the night, Kimiko wakes up to find Akira missing. She goes out and sees him sitting outside the cave, keeping watch. They talk and bond, then suddenly Akira stands up and tells her to go back inside. She obeys after some protest, then looks outside. Akira is gone. She follows a noise to where Akira stands, right next to Yuki! Yuki seems to be just talking to him, then she makes eye contact and does her special power thing. Kimiko was watching from behind a rock. When Yuki flies off, she comes out and makes sure Akira is okay. She asks what that was. He explains that Yuki knows their whereabouts and would have tried to hurt Kimiko if she knew she was there. Akira was protecting Kimiko, refusing to give her up even under torture.
14) In the morning, they set out again. They are attacked on the way to the castle, but they fight their way there. Aimi welcomes them, and they get to sleep in real beds! Late at night, though, Kimiko has nightmares, and Akira climbs into bed with her.
15) Itsuki goes out to forage in the morning, and Kimiko asks to come. She is allowed to only because Iruki is good at getting help from animals, which are plentiful around here. On the trip they meet Megumi, who looks Kimiko in the eye, sees all, and really freaks her out. Megumi says to Itsuki, do you know who she is? There is drama and ZOMGness. Then Megumi leaves.
16) When they get back, they call a little meeting and Itsuki explains everything. Kimiko gets confused and Aimi explains it all to her. Apparently she has powers, they just aren't sure what the powers are. They also learn that Katsuo wants her as a secret weapon.
17) There is a siege at the castle. Epicness happens. Suzume is leading the forces, and Akira tries to persuade her to lift the siege. She refuses, but allows Kimiko to stay with the good guys when she could easily have been taken.
18) They find a back way out of the castle. Nanami offers to stay there, saying she will be fine on her own.  They set off, not really knowing where they are headed. That night, they make camp. When everyone is asleep, Yori appears! He and Akira have a fight. Yori pretty much pwns him and steals Kimiko.
19) So they are back at Riku's castle. By this time he has figured out she is special, and he wants to know why. She refuses to tell him, so he just laughs at her and plays a mind game. But then he sees she can resist him…. So he invites her to stay as a guest; he thinks she is interesting. She doesn't trust him.
20) At night, Yori sneaks into her room and offers to get her out. She doesn't trust him either. She asks why he kidnapped her, if he is so nice. Yori replies that he was compelled by Riku. He's really a nice guy, he says. But also, Akira is his arch nemesis, and he doesn't trust the guy with Kimiko. Yori promises to get Kimiko out and return her to Takayama, because Akira isn't there. Kimiko refuses. She wants to find out what all the fuss is about anyway, and Yori said things that made her sure Riku won't hurt her.
21) A few days later, Riku holds a banquet without announcing a reason. Masaru, Suzume, Yori, Shou, and Megumi attend. At the banquet, Kimiko is shown off and praised like she is a pet. She dances with all the guys present. She can feel Masaru trying out his powers on her, but they don't work. Suzume walks with her in the gardens and tells her this is part of a strategy Riku has developed to make her his, so he can control Katsuo through her, and also so Katsuo doesn't get her himself.
22) Riku takes her out for a carriage ride the next day and suddenly Hotaru shows up! He rescues her, and she isn't sure who he is, so she is frightened and mistrusting. But eventually we learn that he is a good guy.
23) They make camp alone. Hotaru keeps watch.
24) The next day he flies her to where the others are. They have mounted a small army and are ready to go to war against Katsuo.

i dont know where 2 go next... i always get confused cause i dont want 2 drag it out but i dont want 2 make it too simple..,. suggestions anyone?
